Performance, advantages and comparison between installation systems.
MagFace® redefines the installation of architectural surfaces, transforming it from a permanent intervention to a modular, reversible, and reusable system. The technology eliminates glues, cement mortars, and adhesives, reducing time, operating costs, and construction site complexity.
Let's compare MagFace® with the main installation systems to highlight operational, performance and management differences over time.
Interlocking installation
Interlocking installation: the elements are mechanically joined using profiles or fastening systems, without the use of permanent adhesive. Replacement of the elements depends on the interlocking system and the conditions of access to the surface.
Floating / supported installation
Floating/laid-down installation: The elements are installed without permanent adhesive and placed on a subfloor or support system. This solution allows for easier removal than glued-down installation, but performance depends on the format, substrate, and system used.
Laying with traditional adhesives
Laying with traditional adhesives is the most common method for laying tiles and Pocelain Slab : requires the application of glue or cement mortar to the screed, the associated application and drying times, and the subsequent sealing of the joints. If replacement is required, removing the elements may require demolition and the production of construction waste.
MagFace® Magnetic System
MagFace® It's a dry magnetic installation system that allows you to install, remove, and replace surfaces without using permanent adhesives or demolishing the subfloor. The system is designed to make the surface reversible and easier to update over time.

Reducing demolition and eliminating chemical materials make the system more efficient and sustainable. MagFace® supports sustainable construction models, the circular economy, and green building design.
Magface is the only patented dry-installation technology in the world to have passed the ASTM C627-10 Robinson Test for heavy-load resistance.
Thanks to its high structural performance, it has been classified for Heavy Duty Applications certifying its suitability and reliability even in environments subject to extremely high stress.
Suitable for use in commercial environments, retail spaces, automotive showrooms, shopping centers, and areas with high foot traffic.
